Oh man! I haven't updated this in a while. Time has just flown by. Since the last time I posted anything, Christmas and New Years have passed. It's been a long winter filled with fun and sickness :[ LJ ended up needing tubes because he could not seem to get rid of his ear infections. They would bounce from ear to ear then be in both ears and antibiotics were not helping. He finally got the tubes put in in January. It has made a world of difference. Actual full nights of sleep for him and us. He then started getting all of these viruses that made him sick all the time. He'd get a fever then it would go away, then come back and this continued for a while. We thought he was teething when he developed what we thought were fever blisters all over his chin and lips. They then appeared in his mouth, and were accompanied by a fever of 104. We aren't 100% sure what it ended up being but about a week or so after that went away he developed a rash all over his body. Of course this happend on his birthday. We took him and and it ended up being roseola. Since then he has been great, not sick, not so much as a sniffle. Thank goodness :] Emma did pretty well this winter. I think she only ended up getting sick once, maybe twice. It really only lasted for about 2 days, but it wasn't fun. It was even a bummer because both kids were sick on the weekend of our neice Anna's birthday party, so we weren't able to go :[ We were all pretty bummed out, but didn't want to get anyone else sick. Out of all of this, Lynn and I managed to stay completely healthy.
In early February we decided to grant Emma's wish of getting a dog. Lynn and I found one and fell in love. We decided to make a fun road trip out of it and drive to pick her up, she was in Missouri. I'm pretty sure I will never drive to MO and back with no break/sleep. It was fun though and a funny story to tell. Lynn and I were so tired when we got back. We left on Friday night at 10pm and got home on Sunday morning at 1am. It was a beautiful drive, the scenery was great. That Sunday was Superbowl Sunday and we had a party to go to, so needless to say it was an interesting day. Lynn ended up selling a blazer we had and the guy came to pick it up. Lynn was helping him push it out of the driveway and ended up dislocating his knee. It was so swollen and he could hardly walk. He's had to go to a specialist and have an MRI and had 100ccs of fluid drained off his knee. It's looking a lot better, but hasn't been back to work. The doctor said that because of his line of work, he would be putting himself at risk for damaging it more. The ligament holding the knee cap in place had torn, not all the way, but didn't want to further the damage. So he's been in physical therapy trying to strengthen the muscles in his legs. His next appt. is on April 12th so we are hoping they tell us he can return to work :]
During the time Lynn has been off work, our little LJ turned 1. I can't believe how the time has flown. Already a year, WOW! I also took Emma last week and signed her up for kindergarten. She is so excited, which makes me happy, but I am freaking out. She'll be turning 5 this year, isn't that hard enough, then she'll be in Kindergarten.....AAHHH.....
Well, I will try and do a better job of staying up to date. I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of spring!
