4th of July!

We went to Silver Lake for the 4th of July to play on the dunes. We always love going up there. We had such a good time, we went back the next day.

The infamous "Alvin the Chipmunk"!

One of the days, we went on a picnic in a park. This little chipmunk is clearly not scared of people. He came right up onto our table and stole Emma's lunch. She was pretty upset until we told her how cool it was. We'll probably never see this happen again.

More ventures on our vacation

We walked around Mackinaw City looking at the sights and hanging out by the lake. It was freezing cold.

This bull-mastiff was huge. Knowing Emma's love of all animals, she walked right up to this dog and was loving on it. The guy even let Emma ride it like a horse.

We were playing on the beach, and he was out cold.

St. Ignace car show.

We took a short, much needed vacation to St. Ignace and Mackinaw City a couple weeks ago. We went to the 34th annual car show which is always fun. We love looking at all the cars, mostly older models, but some newer. For some reason there were a lot of new camaros. They are pretty cool, but we definately enjoy looking at the older cars. Here are some of our favorites.



This is my favorite. '57 Belair. I would love to have one someday.

This is Emma's favorite. She can spot a Beetle a mile away. She says this is what she wants when she can drive.

This was awesome. It is 94 years old I think. The headlights and tail-lights actually run on kerosene.

I thought the paint job on this was awesome.
