Oh, my little Emma :)

Lynn and I have always known that Emma has OCD and that she gets this from me. Everything has to be done just right. She hates it if there is something on the floor, she doesn't like getting her hands dirty, she can't stand it if there is something on her clothes, even if it is just water, she will change. The list can go on and on. On this particular day she was trying to find a "nite-nite" diaper. I still do not know what she meant. The only thing I can think of is that there was a picture of Blue, from Blue's Clues, on LJ's diapers going to bed. I really don't know. She got out every diaper looking for this one particular one. There were several more rows, I just couldn't fit them all in one picture.

Happy Halloween!!!

This year Emma was a butterfly for Halloween, it was really a fairy costume, and LJ was an elephant. I made his costume and I must say, it turned out pretty good. It was so cute and I got so many compliments. We took the kids to our friend Michelle's church for a trunk-or-treat. We also went to Lynn's grandma's. We didn't stay out too long, it was just too cold.

He looked so cute in his costume. He will probably be able to wear it next year too.
My little pink butterfly. We curled her hair, made it pink and put sparkles in it. She also let me do face paint, just sparkles. She was so cute too.
She was f-f-f-freazin'
Me and my babies.
Lynn had a quick last minute idea to dress up in camo.

Emma was so excited on the way to the trunk-or-treat.
He was fast asleep.

Fall fun at the apple orchard!!!

We went to Kalamazoo this weekend for Gracie's 3rd birthday party. We went to the apple orchard on Sunday and had some fun, playing in the pumpkins, riding the train and Lynn riding the zip line. Of course there was also doughnuts and cider.

I think his face says it all :]

Grandma and LJ. What a ham.

What cuties!

She's such a cheezer.

My projects

I like to think that my creative side is my best side. I love working on projects from sewing to knitting to scrapbooking. Some people think they are "grandma projects", but I love being creative.

Emma's trick-or-treat bag

LJ's quilt.

Emma's quilt.

Since the kids share a room, I wanted them to each have a side. I found the cutest wall appliques that just happened to match each of their bedding. LJ's side.

Emma's side.
This curtain looks pretty simple, but it originally had cream colored flowers, not black. I took a permanent marker and colored over each thread of the flowers. I love the end result.

Emma's taggie blanket. She takes them (I say them because when she was really little, we lost one, so I had to make another, we found it, now she has 2.) wherever we go.

Emma's birthday party invitation. She wanted a bug theme, so that's what she had.

6 months!

LJ at 6 months....20 1/2 lbs and 26 inches long. He is getting so big.

Bath time :)

Hey mom, what are you doing?
LJ is almost getting too big for his little bath tub.

Growing and being silly!

He is getting so big.
LJ was in her seat, so she thought it was only fair that she got to sit in his.

Who knew.....wooden spoons would make him so happy.

She loves dancing and making up silly songs.

Emma's always being a big sister.
