Another trip to Silver Lake!
This was one of the coolest trips that we've taken to Silver Lake. This particular day it was so windy out and the news kept talking about how big the waves were going to be. We decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and head out to check out the waves and play on the dunes. We couldn't miss this opportunity for a "photo shoot"!

Grand Rapids Children's Museum
I am sad to say that I have never been to the GR Children's Museum before. I am so glad that we finally decided to go. If you've never been, it's an awesome place to hang out all day and learn. They have the mirrors that make you look tall, short, wide and thin. There are even mirror tunnels to climb in. These are a few of my favorites.

This bubble thing was probably the coolest thing there. It was a contest to see who could keep the bubble together the longest. I think Lynn was crowned bubble king!

Silver Lake
Lake Michigan was the place to be this summer. The water got so warm and stayed that way for a long time, so we were able to make several trips to Silver Lake and Grand Haven. Emma is a sand baby and LJ is definately our water baby. He had a blast out in the water and sitting on shore letting the waves get him while Emma was perfectly content digging holes and builing sand castles. This particular day was spent at Silver Lake, our favorite place!

John Ball Zoo '10
This summer we were took the kids to John Ball Zoo in GR, and they had so much fun. All of the animals were out on display and the petting zoo animals were out in full force. For the 1st time we were able to actually pet and feed the sting rays which was the highlight of the day. Here are a few snapshots from the day.

It's been so long since I have had any time to update my blog. It's definately been a crazy, fun filled summer and fall. I can't believe Christmas has snuck up on us this fast. The summer was full of trips to both John Ball and Binder Park Zoo, a few trips to the beach, and fun in our own backyard. The kids swam in Lake Michigan, Emma had her 1st sleepover, we went to the GR Children's museum, for the 1st time, we welcomed cousin Lily, and of course made a few trips to Silver Lake. All in all, it was an awesome summer spent with family and friends. Unfortunately we did have a tradgedy also. Our puppy Cocoa passed away. It was a devastating loss for us, but especially for Emma. Emma had such a close bond with her and she is and will always be missed.
As Summer turned quickly to fall, we watched our good friends Ryan and Kristen Ziuraitis get married, and are now expecting baby #2, Emma turned 5 and started Kindergarten, we went to Art Prize '10, we ventured out to Klackles Orchard, Gracie turned 4 and of course Halloween and Thanksgiving. It's amazing what all fits into a few short weeks and months. I hope everyone had a great summer and fall and we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

More projects!
I have definately had a busy summer and fall. I have really enjoyed creating new things. Here are a few of my creations. The new owl hat that I have been making. I have started making these and so many people said they loved them so I started doing craft shows and posting my stuff on my etsy site. www.handmadebyemilymarie.etsy.com.

I had so much material left over from purses that I made, enough to make this dress for my Emma! It turned out so cute.
